ORGY's 'Talk Sick' EP Due This Month
July 16, 2015Electronic hard rock kings ORGY will release a seven-song EP, "Talk Sick", on July 31. The EP heralds the band's return to studio (then stage) with the reinvigorated lineup that has been electrifying audiences for years. The EP is a precursor of a full-length record releasing first in Europe, then the U.S. and elsewhere, by the end of the year.
"Over the past few years, I spent quite a bit of time off learning from the best in the EDM game how to make electronic music using the latest technology and format," said ORGY founding member Jay Gordon about the progression of in the band's sound. "I feel like, why bother making the same old music when there are so many advancements with sound and style, and production technique? The new music we are making encompasses not just what we see and hear in the U.S. but from all around the globe."
While holding true to its goth-filtered-through-industrial origins, ORGY approached "Talk Sick" collaboratively and deliberately to reflect the new era of the band.
"I know it's been a long time coming, so people get frustrated with that," continued Gordon. "We want to make music that feels right. I like to blend multiple styles, and genres, because that's who I am, and what ORGY is all about."
In addition to Gordon, ORGY features Carlton Bost and Creighton Emrick (guitars),Nic Speck (bass),and Bobby Amaro (drums).

"Talk Sick" was recorded at Spinal Vinyl, a studio Gordon helped build at Dr. Justin Paquette's compound in Studio City, California. Gordon and Bost produced with ORGY. Gordon wrote all the lyrics. The band wrote the all the music except "Come Back" (written by Alex Niceforo) and "Monster In Me" (written by Gordon, Bost, Devon Culiner and Aaron Shier). Tracks 1, 4, 6, and 7 were mixed by Eric Racy, 2 and 3 by Alex Niceforo and 5 by Mark Needham.
Gordon reformed ORGY in 2011 after rabid demand from fans around the world. In September 2012, ORGY released their first single and music video in seven years, "Grime Of The Century", via D1 Music/Riot Media. In 2014, after two years and writing new music and touring, ORGY released their haunting single "Wide Awake and Dead", a musical collaboration written by Carlton Bost, Bobby Amaro, Nic Speck, Creighton Emrick and Jay Gordon.
